Emma and Joe
Wedding Journey

I began by capturing an engagement shoot for this couple, shooting some images they could use to announce their engagement after Joe proposed while they were on holiday in Iceland. This led to the request for me to create some Save the date cards and later, Wedding Invites for the couple.

The future Mr and Mrs Parrott decided on a Wootton Park in Birmingham as the location for their upcoming nuptials which would take place on November 5th 2021. This gave a number of options for design ideas (with the surname to be of Parrott there were also some more fun, tropical ideas thrown around!) but with a desired colour scheme of navy and gold with a possible inclusion of burgundy I decided to go down a simple more glowing design too represent the fireworks and outdoor lighting likely to be key to their wedding style.

After finalising the main Save the Date design (image left shows it Digital mocked up for final client checks) we also had to consider the implications of Covid-19 especially with the restrictions that were in place at the time of design (Lockdown number 3!). To allow for this a simple message was placed on the reverse of the card and I designed a fun Boris themed insert that couple be included to try and add a light hearted spin to what could be a disappointing message.

Following on from the Save the Date designs were, of course, the main wedding invitations. Now these needed to have both a 'Day Guest' and an 'Evening Guest' option which not only affected the wording used but also decided whether a menu card was required. To allow for this I first designed a selection of 'Title Pages' from which the couple could choose their favourite design and then from there I could use this to create the rest of the stationary required.

After conversing with the clients they mentioned that they really liked the Save the dates and a similar design would be preferable though they would be open to changing if they fall in love with a totally different design!

Once the base design idea was finalised it then became a matter of taking elements of that idea and using it to form a base for the rest of the required information to be found.
